Family Fun Fair June 6 – 5:30-8:00 p.m.

Our school council is once again organizing the annual Brownridge family fun fair. Please join us June 6 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. for delicious food, fun activities and our silent auction.

EQAO Essential Tips for Grade 3 and 6 Students

Next week EQAO begins. The grade 3s are writing May 27- 31. The grade 6s are writing June 3-6. Please ensure your child has a good night’s sleep and eats a nutritious breakfast each day.

Save The Date – Grade 8 Graduation

Grade 8 graduation is on Wednesday, June 26 at the Thornhill Golf and Country Club. Letters will be going home shortly with the details.

Special Needs Track and Field Postponed

The special needs track and field day has been postponed because of the impending bad weather tomorrow. It has been rescheduled to Friday, May 24.

Track & Field Day Tuesday – Grade 4-8

Tuesday is a full day of track and field activities for grades 4-8 students. The students will be outdoors for all events. Please ensure your child is prepared with correct clothing, running shoes, sunscreen, hat and water bottle.

A large thank you to our community for their generosity the month of April to support The Canadian Cancer Society and Camp Oochigeas. We raised $9000.00 for Camp Oochigeas and $1600.00 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Fun Fair is coming June 6

Mark your calendars Fun Fair is June 6^th!! There will be lots of fun activities, a BBQ, and much much more!! Details to follow soon.

Our Fun Fair Committee is working hard to plan another amazing event and is asking for your help… We are looking for prizes and gift certificates for the silent auction and prize raffle. Do you own, work, or know of a business or company that can donate a prize or gift card towards our silent auction or prize raffle?  Please let us know. Attached is a formal donation request from our School Council with all of the details. If you wish to notify Council of places you approach or have suggestions of whom we should approach, we welcome your comments, assistance, and input.

Eco Night a Great Success – Thank you.

Thank you to everyone who came out last night to the “Let’s Get Eco Friendly” event. Students, Parents, and staff enjoyed all of the rotating stations set up, the planting, the organic market and learning about how to be more environmentally conscious with our board’s consultants and Child Environmentalist Hannah Alper. The electric car parked outside our school brought in by Windfall Ecology Centre was a big hit – students, parents, and staff enjoyed viewing it (Click here for photo). Everyone loved the free goodie bags too! Thank you for the great turnout – the event was a huge success!
