Over the past months our students have been reading books by Canadian award winning author Eric Walters. Through his picture books My Name is Blessing and Hope Springs our students learned of an orphanage in Kenya and decided they would like to help. Last week author Eric Walters visited Brownridge, and we surprised him with a cheque for $400.00 to support the orphanage. As a result, from August 11th to 14th our students will be sponsoring all 55 of the children at Rolling Hills Residence (the orphanage in Kenya).

A big Thank you to all families who participated in our Move-a-thon fundraising campaign for Camp Ooch. Thank you to our many staff members who contributed a total of 40 raffle prizes. The students were very energized and excited on Move-a-thon and raffle draw day. In total, we raised $7738.00!! We almost reached our $8000.00 goal. We are very proud at Brownridge that we are able to support this worthy organization.
Our Spring Concert is May 7th at 7:00. Performers need to be at school 6:45 wearing white top/black (dark) bottom.
