29 Nov

Thank you to all the of the students, staff, and families who came out to support the Book Fair during the 4 days that it was open. It would not have been a success without all of you!  Thank you also to our amazing volunteers who helped out and ensured that everything ran smoothly! We sold a total of $3700 of books and other items –  and raised a good amount of money from this that is returned to our school –  that we will be able to use to support our school library and school literacy initiatives. Thank you everyone!!

Scholastic Book Fair

23 Nov

scholastic-book-fair

Yesterday was the first day of our Scholastic Book Fair!!  We hope to see many come out in support of our school literacy program. Our aim is to continue to work towards purchasing resources to keep our library collection fresh and exciting for our students. Scholastic offers our school a percentage from all purchases, so please come out and support us in meeting our goal. All of the classes will have a scheduled time to visit the Book Fair. In addition, the Book Fair will be open every morning recess (10:20-10:40am) and lunch recess (12:40-1:20pm) this week.  On Thursday Nov. 24th, the Book Fair will be open from 4-8pm during Student-Led Conferences. It will also be open on Friday Nov. 25th until 11am.  This will be the last day.

Remember to bring your family draw coupon (sent home with each student on the Scholastic brochure) – to enter your class and your family in a special raffle. The winner earns $25.00 for their family and $25.00 for the class library.

Thank you for supporting our School’s Library.

Thank you to all of our wonderful student, parent, and teacher volunteers for helping run the Book Fair this week! We greatly appreciate your help!

Looking forward to seeing you at our Book Fair!!

Indoor Shoes and Outdoor Boots

22 Nov

The winter snowy/slushy weather has arrived. Students must have indoor shoes to change into before entering their classroom. As well, outdoor shoes/boots are required for recess. We do not want students going outside in their classroom shoes.

We appreciate your support in helping keep our school a clean and comfortable environment for our students to learn.
